Ammo that goes the distance

The H&N Slug HP is a airgun pellet which differs significantly from the usual pellets due to its bullet shape. It‘s designed for powerful rifles which can shoot such projectiles precisely at targets at 50, 100 or even 200 meters distance. An extremely favourable ballistic coefficient (BC) ensures a flat trajectory and excellent energy retention. To accommodate different barrel profiles and power levels, we offer options in diameter (.2495 / .2505) and weight. The muzzle energy of the rifle should be at least 40 joules, but for best results we recommend 60 to 90 joules (depending on rifle and the weight of the Slug). All pellets get lubricated, visually inspected, hand packed and secured for transport with foam pads.

H&N .25-36gr HP Slugs

Excellent buy and accurate on my Big Max X.

H&N makes these in two sizes, .2495 and .2505, and the actual caliber is not reflected on the tin (unfortunately). When measuring, these appear to be the .0005 below .250 version (0.2495) and weighing a number of them, the actual weights ranged from 35.4gr to 36.2gr, of which the majority were 35.6gr and 35.8gr. (for those going nuts about specifics).

All in all, a perfect fit for me, and based on Strelok pro tables, still gives a 63ft-lbs punch at 100meters after slowing down to 890ft/sec. (Muzzle velocity from Kral Puncher Big Max X @ 200bar on a 10 shot average is 1047ft/sec.)
